English sizes are measured in inches. For e.g. size 8 would mean the foot measures 11 inches. Between two English sizes the difference in foot length is 1/3rd of an inch.
FRENCH SYSTEM
French sizes are measured in centimeters. For e.g. size 8 would mean the foot measures 27.91 cms. Between two French sizes the difference in foot length is 2/3rd of a centimeter.
CIS/MONDOPOINT SYSTEM
Mondopoint sizes are measured in millimeters. For e.g. size 8 would mean the foot measures 280 mm. Between two Mondopoint sizes the difference in foot length is 10 millimeters.
AMERICAN SYSTEM
Add ½ size to English sizes to arrive at the American size. For e.g. English size 8 equals American size 8½ |
